John Kowalski calls Beaver, Pennsylvania home. He and his wife have been married for 47 years, and together they raised three children and now have six grandchildren. He grew up in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, and learned early what hard work really means. To help pay his way through college, he took a job at a local steel mill. That work stuck with him and built the work ethic and respect for safety he carries today.

John earned a degree in Nuclear Engineering from Penn State University, and he is a Certified Safety Professional. Safety became his life work for a full 45 years. Along the way he gained deep, wide-ranging experience across many industries. He spent 10 years in Nuclear Safety, 15 years in Industrial Safety, and 20 years on Human and Organizational Performance.
